ESPN’s PTI Host Tony Kornheiser Keeping SweetWorks’ Niagara Chocolates Footballs Close By As Super Bowl Approaches

January 29, 2014  |  Buffalo, NY

SweetWorks, Inc., manufacturer of premium gourmet confections, has become the sweet favorite of ESPN’s PTI host Tony Kornheiser. Kornheiser has been seen most recently with SweetWorks’ Niagara Chocolates foiled covered footballs. (See enclosed movie clip and jpeg).

While he was seen savoring Niagara Chocolates Santas and Nutcrackers during the holiday season, it all started with a 2013 request for SweetWorks to create a pair of candy hands in the style of ESPN’s Pardon The Interruption logo. Made out of Celebration by SweetWorks® PearlsTM in red, white and black, the hands were presented to PTI hosts Tony Kornheiser and Mike Wilbon by sugar artist Christian Twamley of Sykesville, MD last fall. Twamley created these “Hands” with about 2,000 PearlsTM in an endeavor that took him 20 hours.

Kathy Brown, Product Manager at SweetWorks, commented, “We are so pleased that the PTI team remains such fans of our confections, as we know they are very picky about their chocolate. The fact that SweetWorks makes delicious chocolates perfect for so many sports fans makes our relationship with ESPN a sweet one. We hope our footballs will help Tony through the suspense of the Super Bowl this weekend!”
